This ATTRIBUTED SCULPTURE is an emotional creation, carved after
the unexpected death of the Duchess Beatrice d'Este in 1497, and the
Master makes it obvious, just like most woodworkers, he's all thumbs. Condition as follows
This hardwood sculpture was rediscovered with the original thumb,
unfortunately the other four fingers were missing, which I replaced with
help from Leonardo's drawing found in England's Royal Collection called, 'A Woman in a Landscape.'
